HOME OF DREAMS
SCHOOL DORMITORY (COMPLETED)
The Home of Dreams is a school dormitory for the students of Tiyende Pamodzi Girls Secondary School. It is located in Jamesvillage, Mganja, approximately 2 km from the school. The dormitory was created through the sustainable and resource-efficient renovation of an existing, unused building (School of Dreams). It has now been fully renovated and currently houses 38 students.
Read the full project journey in our blog.
The dormitory is fully equipped with bunk beds, lockers, and small cabinets on the veranda. Most recently, we completely renovated the deteriorated sanitary facilities.
Additionally, the GF Goeldner Foundation covers the salary of housemother Cidia, who wakes the students every morning with a mounted bell.

To prepare the foundations, all obstacles on the construction site must be removed. These include large stones, but unfortunately also a small number of trees. The issue of removing trees was therefore once again carefully considered in Chepezi. Over the past decades, Malawi has experienced extensive deforestati

Update: Nazareth Coffee - 01.12.2025
On March 7, 2025, we reported here on the blog once again about our coffee project “Nazareth Coffee.” From the first harvests we had taken several roasted samples back to Germany. The coffee tasted good, but showed some variation in flavor - not surprising, since in Mganja the beans are roasted manually in pans over an open fire, which naturally leads to different roast levels depending on the heat and duration. After our most recent visit to Nazareth, we therefore brought b

To prepare the next steps, we invited representatives of the Ministry of Educa
