Lidzinji Primary School: Further Site Inspections in Chepezi - 15.08.2026

Regular visits to the construction site are indispensable to us. They are the only way to ensure, on an ongoing basis, that the work is progressing at the required pace and quality. At the same time, such visits serve our internal documentation and the transparent communication of progress to the outside world – as here in this blog. In recent weeks, several people therefore came to the construction site of the Lidzinji Primary School in Chepezi to form their own picture of the progress and quality of the project, each independently of the others.

The first to visit was Father Paul Sanogo. As the priest of the parish of Mua in the Diocese of Dedza, he is responsible for this school and gained a personal impression of the state of the work on site.

Fabian then visited the site on our behalf. Using his drone, he produced striking aerial photographs that capture the progress of construction from above and at the same time provide valuable material for our documentation.

Finally, Frank Banda, a board member of our local Partner-NGO, once again walked the site - with a critical eye and a determination not to overlook even the smaller details.

The impression was unanimous among all three. Father Paul, Fabian and Frank were equally struck by how quickly the work is progressing and by the quality with which the building is taking shape. The masonry, the workmanship and the neatness of the execution left no doubt that the construction here is careful and professional. The first classroom building is making considerable progress. With the foundation work now complete, the surrounding walls have been raised and the window frames set in place. Step by step, the building is taking shape.

That the first classroom building is coming together at this pace and, at the same time, to this standard is the key insight from these visits and a good sign for the further course of the project.
