Our philosophy is based on the principle of "helping people help themselves," as we firmly believe that effective and sustainable development cooperation can only be achieved through mutual respect and equal partnership. Therefore, we focus on securing financial support, ensuring the proper and purposeful use of funds, and providing advisory assistance. However, the selection, planning, and implementation of projects are entirely the responsibility of our Malawian project partners.

Our foundation operates as a non-profit association and is subject to constant supervision and control by the relevant tax authorities. We have been active as an association since the end of 2017, building on annual personal visits and social engagement in Malawi. So far, we have received over €800,000 in membership fees and donations from our supporters, friends, and families. As of December 2024, the association has 72 members.

As an association, we ensure that all donations are used exclusively for their intended statutory purpose. Our primary goal is to promote development cooperation in Malawi in the field of education by providing financial and non-material support to foreign public and private entities. This purpose is realized mainly through fundraising efforts and the subsequent allocation of funds, particularly to support educational initiatives and projects in Malawi.

Our work is not directed towards any commercial enterprise, profit-making, or business activity. Our primary mission is to advance education in Malawi, with a special focus on the education of girls.
