We have been in contact with the Electricians Without Borders Association for 3 years and have been involved in many team meetings with Maria, Fabian, Bastian and other experts from this association. After precise planning, the Electricians Without Borders Association purchased the system components entirely at its own expense and organized them to Mganja. In October the time had come: the technicians and members of the association Fabian (board) and Bastian took over the construction management for the work of the local company as agreed. Since, contrary to the contractual agreements with the contractor, not all parts were initially available on the construction site, the implementation was in jeopardy. Fabian and Bastian finally managed, with admirable and personal commitment and improvisation, to hand over the system to the school principal Ms. Kantchala on October 26, 2024 in the presence of the students and technicians. We were also invited to the handover ceremony. Since the hostel could not be illuminated at night before the solar system was installed, the benefit for the young women accommodated there is enormous: safety and comfort. Fabian and Sebastian demonstrated that it is even possible to cook electrically at certain times of the day.
