Primary School Chepezi - 10/25/2024

We have been working on this new project for several months now: it involves the renovation/new construction of buildings at the Primary School Chepezi, the neighboring town of Mganja. During our last visit in March 2024, we already spoke to the headmaster Peter Kadzika about the feasibility of implementation by the Foundation. The current visit served to get to know the local mayors of the surrounding villages, the teachers and representatives of the parents (Schools Committee), the school board (Primary Education Manager, PEA) Kulongwe and the representatives of the Diocese of Dedza (Mua Parish, Father Christian), to which the school belongs. We also invited two building contractors to this meeting to discuss the scope of the work to be carried out with them. The project plan, which is already in draft form, was discussed. We find it remarkable that teachers, parents, mayors and building contractors want to actively work together in the implementation of the project. The commissioned building contractor will therefore be actively supported in the construction work to be carried out.

Since there is hardly any teaching material, notebooks and pens (these are too expensive for the parents), we are trying to provide the necessary financial means for this.
